Obituary of Donna Jean Rickstad

Donna Jean (Boyer) Rickstad of Comstock, Michigan, passed away on August 17, 2021 at the age of 77, after a lengthy battle with cancer. She was born to Elmer and Mary (Stratton) Boyer on June 3, 1944. She attended Comstock High School. On September 27, 1963, she married the love of her life, Albert J. Rickstad, Sr. Together, they had 6 children: Sue (Neil) Kemp, Albert Jr. (Yevette) Rickstad, Jeannette Rickstad, Robert Sr. (Yvonne) Rickstad, Carla (James) Henry and Lisa Rickstad. Donna was a very devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed attending all events that pertained to her family. She is survived by 5 children, 17 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and two on the way, and they were all her pride and joy. Also surviving are her sisters: Sandra Baptiste, Peggy Whipple, Marilyn Boyer, sister’s in-law Jackie Rickstad, Kris (Jon) Blackburn, Jill (Don) Brink and numerous nieces and nephews. Donna was preceded in death by her husband, daughter Lisa, her parents, brother John (Sharon) Boyer, and sister Linda Rodenberger; brothers-in-law: Gary Rickstad Sr, Larry Whipple, Pete Terburg, and Aime Baptiste; two nephews David Hudson and Jimmy Joe Rickstad. In Lieu of flower memorial, contributions may be directed to Hospice Care of Southwest Michigan.
