Obituary of Lucretia Laverne Lee

Ms. Lucretia Laverne Lee (Lovingly known as BB) went home to be with the Lord on July 21, 2021. She was born August 13, 1957, in Tunica, MS to Mrs. Mary Alice Atkins and Mr. James Lee. She spent the majority of her life in Kalamazoo Michigan, where she worked for Kalamazoo College for 28 years After Retiring , seeking change, she moved to Lansing. She was the youngest of five siblings, preceded in death by her parents, her sisters Mary Louise Sharp, Ernestine Wiggins and her brothers Thomas Lee, Willie Lee and James Lee of Chicago, IL. Lucretia found the Lord at a young age where she attended Second Baptist Church in Kalamazoo. She continued serving the Lord at New Mt. Calvary Baptist church of Lansing. Lucretia leaves behind her loving daughter Ms. Benyetta Udoh and three Grandsons Jaffion Robeson, Jaqari Rolland, and Jaquay Carter all of Kalamazoo, MI. She also will be missed dearly by her two sister-in laws Mary Virginia Saddler of Lansing, Michigan and Ora Mae Lee of Kalamazoo, Michigan. Lucretia was a favorite auntie for a long list of nieces and nephews near and far from Kalamazoo to Lansing, Detroit and even Florida. Lucretia held many close to her, including a special cousin Pamela Goodscott, special friends Bobby Tolliver and Wihelmina McCarty. Lucretia spent her life loving everyone close to her. She enjoyed talking to her daughter on the phone, reading, watching her shows on television, and listening to music.
