Obituary of Michael Ac'Kie Dixon

Michael Ac`kie Dixon was born February 10, 1990, to his mother Charez La`Toy Brown and his father Michael Landon Dixon. Michael entered this earthly life as a healthy 10-pound, 5-ounce boy, born in Queens, New York and raised and baptized as a child in Brooklyn, New York. Michael and his parents also lived in New Jersey. In 2009, Michael graduated from Clifton High School, Brooklyn, New York and immediately enlisted in the U.S. Army Reserves December 10, 2009 and completed his training March 30, 2010. Michael loved his country and wanted to do whatever was necessary to protect his country. He served honorably in active duty for three years and was assigned to Truck Patrol duty in Iraq. His specialty was motor transport of weapons used by army units to escort military convoys in regions subject to ambush by guerrilla forces and airfields. The army truck Michael drove was like the M939 weighing five-tons. During his time in service Michael received an Army Commendation medal for heroism and meritorious service, National Defense Service Medal, and The Service Medal for Global War on Terrorism. He was also honored with an Army Services Ribbon for overseas combat. Michael was honorably discharged from the U.S. Army December 9, 2017. His life of service will be forever remembered by his Mother, Cha`rez Brown Green, Father, Michael Landon Dixon and Step-father, Mark Green, six sisters, Kisxenia Domenci`a Dixon, Treyvanna Danieci`a Brown, Telesia Na`cha Hatcher, Jamil Dixon, Khya Davis and Latoya Davis. Grandmothers, Francis Simpson, Alabama Doris Walden, New York. Also surviving are three brothers, Khya and Amir Davis, Rashawn Hooks, three step-brothers and one stepsister, Damone Harvey Brown, Keenon Hatcher, Eric Hatcher, and Deena Hatcher, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. Michael, you've transitioned from your earthly home and translated to your heavenly home. Gone, but never forgotten.
