Obituary of Deloris Jean Houston

Deloris (Small) Houston 80 of battle creek went to be with the lord on June 26, 2021, at Bronson Hospital, surrounded by her loved ones. In Alton, Illinois, Deloris was born May 22, 1941, to Minister Maceo Small, Sr. and Gloria (Barnett) Small. Deloris accepted Christ at an early age. She attended GOGIC Church with family and played the piano at church. Deloris attended Battle Creek public schools, received her diploma from Battle Creek Central, and worked at the former Leila Hospital as an R.N. After many years of working, Deloris retired from the State of Michigan. Deloris is survived by her husband Willie L. Houston, Sr. of forty-five years. She also leaves to cherish her memory, her son's Michael Prather, of Battle Creek, Willie (Stacy) Houston, Jr. of Minnesota, Jesse (Raquel) Jackson of Wisconsin, her daughter Carmen (Walter) McClinton of battle creek, sister Barbara (Marshall) Fisher; brothers Maceo Small, Jr. And Kenneth Small all of Battle Creek. Deloris also leaves her grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. Deloris was preceded in death by her parents Minister Maceo and Gloria Small, Sr; and brother Minister Robert Small, Sr.
