Obituary of Gerryon Marcreese Kye, Sr.

Gerryon Marcreese Kye, Sr., also known by fat face and fezz, was tragically taken from us and entered his heavenly home on Saturday, June 26, 2021. He was born October 22, 1987, in Kalamazoo, Michigan, the son of Annie Kye-Williams and Jeffrey Williams. Gerryon attended Kalamazoo Public schools and graduated from Barkley Adult Education in 2004, where he received his high school diploma. Gerryon instantly gained employment. Gerryon was very outgoing and loved to be around family and friends. He enjoyed spending quality time with his children, telling jokes, listening to music. He was also very caring and willing to do a favor for anyone, big or small. Gerryon also thought he was everyone’s father when it came down to things; deep in heart, he was a big ole baby. He loved so many and was loved by so many more. He also had an energy that, when you have just one encounter with him, you would remember him for life. Gerryon was preceded in death by his mother, Annie Kye-Williams, grandparents: Mary Alice Kye, Louis Kye, and Johnny Williams; one of his favorite cousins Ernestine (Snudge) Witherspoon. Gerryon is survived by three children who will carry on his legacy: Gerryon Kye, Jr., Ajavion Grady, and Arie Fergenson. He also leaves to cherish his memories, his father Jeffrey Williams; three brothers: Jeffrey Kye, his twin Derryon Kye, Sr., and Jaquavion Williams; one sister Adrianna Williams. His grandmother Dessie (Sugad) Williams, 5 nephews, 6 nieces, 2 uncles Danny Williams, and James Williams; 7 aunts: Janice (Steve) Bibbs, Debbie Pratt, Loistine (Johnny) Lee, Mary (George) Seals, Ernestine Kye, Jean Kye, Jackie Hull; godmother Julia Franks, godfather Rod Milan, godchildren: Cartier Phillips and Kamora Pratt; 3 favorite cousins: Kita Pratt, Tyson Pratt, and Louis Kyle; 2 best friends Nobel Phillips, and Will Mabon; and his special best friend Marlo Gill, and a host of great aunts, great uncles, cousins, and friends. Gerryon will truly be Missed….
