Obituary of Marylee Ballard Parris

Marylee Ballard Parris, 62, passed away on March 23, 2021, due to a sudden and aggressive illness. She was born January 11, 1959 to Lillie and Bill Ballard. She grew up in Allen Park, MI, and moved to Coldwater in 1982, where she resided until her passing. She was proceeded in death by her parents, her sister Patricia Henning, her fiancé and life long friend, Raymond Wilson. She is survived by her fiancé Robert Williams, her former husband Barry Parris, her sister Teri Ballard, and Betty (Paul) Baize. Her children Jessica (Oogie) Rifenburgh, Andrew (Becca) Parris, Joshua (Audrey) Parris, Rebecca (Stoy) Aughenbaugh. Her bonus children Chuk Fowle, Kacey Stringer, Amber Lanhum Kistler, April Marion, and Jevon St. Louis. She was NaNa to Bryton (Ashley), Lizzy (River), Emma, Abby, Lillie, Annabelle, Ava, Gwen, Maxwell, Grayson, and Barrett, plus many more children she “adopted” along the way. Marylee spent her life taking care of others, but her most recent job was one that she loved, being a lead lunch lady at a local elementary school, where she will be greatly missed by her school family and students. Marylee loved her family, it was the most important thing to her. She loved effortlessly, and it showed. She loved music, especially going to concerts, motorcycle rides, holidays, being with family, and making everyone feel loved. Please join her family in celebrating her life, Saturday, April 24, 1-5pm at 329 Grand Street, Coldwater, Michigan. Guests are welcome and encouraged to share a few words and memories.
