Obituary of Charles Edward Watkins

Charles Edward “Bokey” Watkins, 48, of Kalamazoo, MI passed away on March 2, 2021, at Bronson Hospital in Kalamazoo, MI. Charles was born on June 26, 1972, to Eddie and Sally (Watkins) Thomas in Allegan, MI. Charles graduated from South Haven High in South Haven, MI. He loved fishing and he would go out into countryside and just drive and enjoy the outdoors. He also loved sports and listening to music was one of his favorite pastimes. Charles was preceded in death by his parents, Eddie, and Sally (Watkins) Thomas, Grandmother, Nellie Mae Watkins, as well as a host of uncles, aunts, and cousins. Charles leaves to cherish his memory, his two sons, Cameron Watkins and Collen Watkins, both of South Haven, MI, his daughter, Chacarqua Watkins of Arkansas, his daughter, Keshara Gibson of South Haven, MI, his daughter, Maykala Watkins of Tennessee, three grandchildren, grandson Keshawn Gibson, granddaughter, Ke’ari Gibson, granddaughter, A’miyah Watkins all of South Haven, MI, he leaves two brothers, Eddie Thomas III and Tirrell Perry Thomas both of Kalamazoo MI, three special friends, Jenny Lopez, Willie C Primer and Larry Fuller all of Kalamazoo, MI, and a special aunt Ruth Ann Preston, he also leaves his special cousin James Cole, as well as his two special nephews, Terrance Mayes and Eddie “Little Man” Thomas IV, additionally, a host of uncles, aunts, cousins and friends.
