Obituary of Kimberly Denise Jones

Kimberly Denise Jones, 53 of Kalamazoo, MI went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, February 9, 2021 in the presence of her children after a battle with pancreatic cancer. She was born on April 28th, 1967, the daughter of Bessie Mae Palmore and Lee Albert Betts. Kimberly was a fun-loving person, very family oriented, she always supported her relatives. She found joy in volunteering in the community, traveling, being with loved ones, and playing cards. She confessed Christ into her life at an early age. She devoted so much of her time and energy as a caregiver to family members, including her mother until she passed. She spent many years serving and working for the public schools. She was proceeded in death by her parents; her maternal grandparents Willie and Willie Dee McDonald; her paternal grandparents Otha Lee Jones and Fannie B. Wells. She leaves behind to cherish her memories; her children Remius Jones, Clarence McFerrin, and London Jones. Six brothers; Kenneth Palmore, Jeffery Palmore, Minion Carter, Timothy Palmore, Bobby Palmore, all of Kalamazoo, MI and Laron Betts of Chicago, IL. Three sisters; Hope Chapman of Memphis, TN; Catina Betts of Louisville, MS; Lisa Shell-Wards of Chicago, IL. Two special nieces Kendra Campbell of Kalamazoo, MI and Brittny Palmore of Indianapolis, IN. One special nephew Malik Palmore of Kalamazoo, MI. Three special people Angela Jackson of Detroit, MI; Janea Harkness, and Cletis Graves both of Kalamazoo, MI. A host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
