Obituary of Lula Buggs

Lula Buggs was born to Catherine & Marshall Hilliard in Oxford MS on Dec 20th 1947. She was raised on a Farm along with seven brothers and one sister. As a young girl she enjoyed reading especially the Bible. Lula moved to Chicago at the age of 18. At 21 she was wed to Calvin Buggs in Chicago Illinois and in about a year later they moved to Grand Rapids MI with their oldest daughter Sophia. Then in Grand Rapids they had two daughters Lolita and Sabrina. Lula is survived by her children, 7 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. It was in Grand Rapids that her life truly began. She was introduced to Jehovah in 1974 by Sister Spicer who rang her doorbell one Sunday morning and asked would you like a Bible Study? She accepted and devoted her life to Jehovah. Lula was then baptized on June 18, 1976 in Kalamazoo MI at Wing Stadium. She went to Pioneer School at the Kingdom Hall on Douglas St. in Kalamazoo MI. Her life was serving Jehovah and being a Great mom and grandmother for her children and grandchildren Lula truly enjoyed teaching her daughters about Jehovah through consistent Bible study. She loved field service, so that she could have the opportunity to teaching others about Jehovah and his future promises. Lula took pleasure in uplifting and encouraging others, and always had a listening ear. One of her most memorable moments, was the first time she went to Brooklynn Bethel with her daughter Sabrina and her son in law Brandon on March, 11, 2016 POEM “You were wonderful A beacon of light Spreading your love Throughout your fight Nothing more important than being a true Servant this you’ve achieved and it's why we’re all hurting.
