Obituary of Charles Edward Moore
Charles’ Life Journey…
The mortal life of our beloved brother, Charles Edward Moore began on August 5, 1954, in Greenville, Mississippi. He was the 2nd child of eight. Charles was born to Elizabeth Moore and Marshal Moore. Charles began his Christian Life as a child at VST James C.O.G.I.C., under the guidance of Pastor Levarn Smith. Then as a young adult, he joined Galilee Baptist Church under Pastor J. Louis Felton until Pastor Michael T. Scott became the pastor. Charles worked as an usher which he enjoyed and took great pride in it. A graduate of Kalamazoo Central in 1972. He worked for several companies in Kalamazoo as a machine operator. He leaves to mourn his fiancé Cynthia McGrew, daughter Tiombe McElrath, 2 grandchildren: Tori McElrath, Demarion McElrath; 2 stepchildren: Sharona Dempsey, Garrade Brown, five sisters: Clara Jean Moore-Stamp, Dorothy K. Moore, Mary Moore Gregory, Jacqueline (Demetrius) Foster, Jessie M. Miller; god-sister Peggy Moore, two brothers: Robert (Marilyn) Moore, Patrick Moore, god-brother Robert Gladdis, special niece Tracey (Kenneth) Hughes, Nikki Gill, Elizabeth Sharelle Miller-Oliver, Andrea Cathings, Azzetta Renee Matthews, Mikia Moore, Jazmyne Bradley, Janay Liggion, Mykia Williams; nephews: Doron (Chiqueta) Moore, Lanzy Moore, Jarae Liggion, Jaquay Liggion, Tion Henly and Terrel Henly; special cousins: Willie Mae Bell, Terry Moore, and George McMillion; special friends: Kevin Ford, Linda Hunter, Jessie Mitchell, Richard Dunning, and host of great-nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother Elizabeth Moore Thomas, stepfather Jessie Miller, son Charles Moore, Jr.; grandparents: James C. Moore and Cora Lee Foster.
Most people look upon death as a dark and gloom thing without one redeeming quality but the death of the righteous is like the lowering clouds that shut out the sun at noonday it is a bright side and silver lining to a Christian moving out of this cold friendless dark world into eternal daylight.
