Emmett was a good friend. We talked about our families, the Lions, Kobe, and everything else under the sun. He loved his sons & daughters and I’m very sad for their loss. The last time Emmett & I spoke, he was excited about seeing his grandkids that very next weekend. The fact he had so much loving family was a blessing, but they’re a lot of people who are going to miss his big personality and generous character. Emmett had a strong faith. He needed that faith as his body caused him pain for most of the past two decades. I’m glad he’s no longer in pain but I wish his family would have gotten more time with him.
