Obituary of DeVonte Edward Coleman

DeVonte E. Coleman was born on July 14, 1992, in Kalamazoo, Michigan. As a child, he moved to Atlanta Georgia with his mother and Grandmother where he resided for over 15 years. He moved to Three Rivers, Michigan in 2010, where he worked and lived with his partner and daughter. DeVonte moved back home to Kalamazoo, Michigan in 2014 where he remained until he departed this life on July 22, 2020. He attended Loy Norrix High School here in Kalamazoo, Michigan where he made a lot of new friends. He loved hanging out at the boys and girls club playing games and sports. He was a hard worker and gained several skills working at various jobs. His most recent job was at JBS where he worked for a year as a line operator. In his free time, he loved playing video games and hanging out with his friends. He also enjoyed making music in hopes of making it big one day. He loved spending time with his daughter, nieces, nephews, and his whole entire family. DeVonte was a brother who was overprotective of his sisters. He had one of the brightest smiles that will light up a room when he entered, he was loving, kind, and had the biggest heart and would help anyone. He loved everybody and everyone loves him wholeheartedly. DeVonte was preceded in death by his Grandfather Michael Mann, Great Grandparents, Annie and Johnny Coleman, his Step-Dad Terrell Jackson, his Sister Rellisha Jackson. He is survived by his Daughter Brielle Evelynn Coleman, Mother Michele Coleman (Yolonda Crawford), Father Marlon (Roslynn)Mann, Maternal Grandparents, Melody Coleman and Jerry Heard, Paternal Grandparents Delores Bowden and James McClinton, three sisters Kendra Moore, Ciara Coleman, Miya Mann, three brothers Kendrick Moore, Marquez Jones, and Marquis Jones eight Step Siblings, favorite cousin Christian Coleman, special friend Mercedes Spain, best friend Javarius Thomas, a host of aunties, uncles, and cousins. Ms. Debra Bridges and family who was very special to him, who he loved dearly. DeVonte will always be remembered for his smile and his humor. He will truly be missed and will always be in our hearts and will never be forgotten.
