Obituary of Nathaniel Johnathan Henry

Nathaniel Jonathan Henry (Silverman), age 66, fell asleep in death on the evening of Tuesday, July 21, 2020. Addressed by all who knew him as simply, “Nate,” he was born July 8, 1954, in South Haven, Michigan, and raised in Kalamazoo, Michigan. He attended Kalamazoo Central High School through grade 11 and later earned his G.E.D. from Kalamazoo Adult Education. On September 25, 2004, Nate exchanged wedding vows with a longtime friend Margaret Robeson. He was greatly saddened when, on February 3, 2017, his beloved Margaret passed away in her sleep. Nate worked in a variety of factory jobs throughout most of his life and was known for being a hard-working person who enjoyed learning new things about his work. He was an all-around nice guy, dearly loved by his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, and four sisters. He is survived by one son, Deandre Sr. and Sareatha Hayes of Portage, Michigan; one brother Richard Silverman of Vicksburg, Michigan; three sisters: Selena Silverman of Kalamazoo, Michigan, Zandrea Silverman and Natalie Marshall (Silverman) both of Texas; three grandchildren, along with a host of nieces, nephews, other caring relatives, and many friends.
