Obituary of Za Kari' E Ivory Chase Coleman

ZaKari’e Ivory Chase Coleman was born on Sunday, April 5th, 2020, at 8:36 p.m. to parents La’Shae Coleman and Darnel Swapsy at Bronson Hospital of Kalamazoo Michigan. He weighed 7 pounds and 6.4 ounces. ZaKari’e also known as Chase was the answer to his moms’ prayers and she waited for his birth with joyful expectation. Our little angel was called to his heavenly home on July 19th 2020. Chase will always remain his moms’ precious baby. During his brief visit on earth, he loved watching Elmo, he just began to hold his bottle and would wiggle himself from one side of the bed to the other side. Chase was a happy baby he was always smiling and talking his baby lingo. He loved looking at trees and celling fans. He was also a crybaby and he was very big at staring at people and loved his mom to infinity. Chase experienced holding hands with his mommy, hugs and kisses from his family, listening as his mommy sang him songs, and being told “I love you” an uncountable amount of times. Chase is deeply loved by his mommy his grandparents, his great-grandparents, his aunts and uncles, his cousins and many others. Chase was loved by all who met him and will be greatly missed. His life was a brief gift to us that will live on. Chase is survived by is mother La’Shae Yavette Grays Coleman, Father Darnell Lamond Swapsy. Six siblings four sisters and two brothers. His maternal grandparents Kawonna Dixon AKA Gannie and Eugene Washpun. Five maternal aunts and 2 maternal uncles. His Maternel great grandparents Leon and Janet Coleman, His God parents Sharmeka Ware, Jurel Fullerton, Samijah Ezell, Jaisha Anderson and Bernard Brown Jr. Three special TT’s Latrena Dixon, Candance Chamberlain and Najjia Grays and one specail cousin Mya Taylor along with a host of great aunts, great uncles, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Chase gave us a lifetime of love during his short time on earth. Heaven’s gain was our loss when our angel was called by our Lord. “Dearest baby, please know that our greatest blessing was having you.”
