Obituary of Albert John Rickstad, Sr.
Albert Rickstad Sr. Of Comstock, Michigan passed away unexpectedly June 27th, 2020 at the age of 78. He was born to Eric and Jeannette (Solemn) Rickstad on the 11th day of August 1941. He was a 1960 graduate of Comstock High School. Albert honorably served in the US Navy. In 1963 he married Donna Rickstad (Boyer) and together they had 6 children. Sue (Neil) Kemp, Albert Jr. (Yevette) Rickstad, Jeannette Rickstad, Robert Sr. (Yvonne) Rickstad, Carla (James) Henry and Lisa Rickstad. Also surviving are 17 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren with 2 on the way which were all his pride and joy. Also surviving are his sisters Kris (Jon) Blackburn, Jill (Don) Brink sister in-law Jackie Rickstad, Peggy (Larry) Whipple, Sandra Baptist and Marilyn Boyer. Also survived by him is his life long friend, Albert Cole. Albert was preceded in death by his parents, daughter Lisa, brother Gary Rickstad Sr. and a nephew Jimmy Joe. Visitation will be held at Green Meadow Bible Church, 6914 ML Ave, Kalamazoo, Michigan. Service to follow at 12:00 pm. Due to the Covid 19 streaming via electronic device will be available at the time of service in church parking lot only. All are welcome to follow processional to Maple Grove Cemetery where military honor will commence.
