Obituary of Christopher Allen Edwards
Christopher Allen Edwards passed away suddenly, at home, on June 23, 2020.
Christopher was born on November 7, 1985 in Jacksonville, Florida, the son of David Allen Edwards and Christine (Gernhart) Edwards. Christopher spent most of his childhood in Otsego, Michigan, then moving to and living most of his adult life in Kalamazoo, Michigan.
Christopher loved the game of football and showed great talent playing the sport in his younger years. He was a loyal Cowboys and Uo M fan and some of his best times were watching the game with his beloved Papa George and just throwing the ball around with his sons. He was always the guy behind the grill and had a quite a knack for cooking. Christopher was a butcher, a land-scapper, and jack-of-all trades; if something needed fixing, he was your guy. More than anything, in life, Christopher loved his children and his family, and he never said goodbye without saying “I love you.”
Christopher was preceded in death by his loving Father, David Allen Edwards, grandfather, George Gernhart, and grandparents Joseph and Betty Edwards.
Christopher left behind his Mother Christine; two daughters, Paige, Dakotah; three sons, Davin, Austin, and Timothy; two step-children Michael and Breanna, sisters Frani (Chad) and Mary Ann, many uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will take place at a later date.
Contributions may be made directly to the children or to the American Cancer Society in Christopher’s name.
