Junius Lewis

Obituary of Junius Jerome Lewis

Junius (aka JJ/Juni/June) entered the world on June 25, 1985, son of Dale Blackmon and Elizabeth Lewis. He was a caring, loving, ‘give u the shirt off his back’ kind of guy. He was an active and fearless kid that loved to ride his bike with his dad and would sometimes sneak off and go on excursions by himself, keeping Liz and Dale on their toes. He loved to drive and took his mom, with whom he had an exceptionally close relationship with, anywhere she wanted to go. He graduated from Loy Norrix High School. At the time of his passing, he was employed by Target Distribution and Checkers. June enjoyed watching and playing sports, spending time with family and friends. Being a sports lover, but basketball was his favorite. He was a true diehard (Kobe) Laker Fan. When he wasn’t watching sports, you could find him playing video games with his friend John or listening to his music. Jay-Z, Lil Wayne, and R&B singer, Brandy, whom he also had a major crush on since he was a kid were a few of his favorites. He was also an avid Chess player. JJ was a kid at heart had a love for children which attributed to him being a fantastic dad. June absolutely cherished his daughter, Lizariah. He doted on her and bragged on her all the time. Lizariah’s two sisters, Karmya and Amaria, also held a special place in his heart. He loved and treated them as if they were his own. He thought the world of his nephews and nieces and spending time with them. He had a special relationship with his brother, Keith. June was so funny. Although, he kept us laughing, he also never wanted to lose an argument. He always had to have the last word.
