Dear Williams and Pettiford Family:
We were saddened to hear of Korkie's transition, but know that she left with those who knew her, fond memories, never-to-be-forgotten. Korkie was supportive of me and all of the ministries that I was involved in the 50+ years I was at Allen Chapel, and she was one of the first ones to congratulate me in 2002 when I received my appointment from Bishop Cousin; to plant "New Work...Fresh Fire AMEC" in Kalamazoo, MI. Whenever we had celebrations at Fresh Fire, Korkie came to support us. She leaves beautiful memories and yes...even her colorful language (smile).
