Obituary of Freddie Jay Stuart

Mr. Freddy Jay Stuart passed away on Thursday, May 21, 2020 at the home of beloved friends Mr. & Mrs. Donald and Linda Garland in Kalamazoo, Michigan after a long fight with cancer. He was born June 27, 1953, in Kalamazoo with his twin brother Teddy who preceded him in death. Freddy parents were the late Mr. Lee W. Stuart, Sr. and Mrs. Willie Mae Stuart. Freddy was a graduate of the Class of 1972 of Kalamazoo Central High School. Freddy was known throughout the community as one of the Stuart's. He was loved by many and a friend to all. Freddy moved to Detroit, Michigan where he married and raised a family. He lived his remaining years in Kalamazoo. He was preceded in death by his twin and sister Cynthia Davis. He leaves to mourn his seven children Freddy Howell of Kalamazoo; Kevin Howell of Arlington, TX; Kenneth Alexander of Niles, MI; Shamu Martin of Las Vega, NV; Juwan Stuart of Texas; Tijuana (Clarence) Conner of Romulus, MI; and Daleson (Sheila) Davis of Westland, MI; his brother Lee W. Stuart Jr. (Chip); four sisters, Roslyn Banks of Ann Arbor, MI; Charline Nelson of Hawaii; Karen (Phillip) Howard of Covington, GA; and Cecelia Stuart of Sterling Heights, MI; two aunts, Doris Turner of East Point, GA; Josephine Taylor of Detroit, MI; twenty-one grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
