Obituary of Tereasa Jean Shotwell
Ms. Teresa Jean Shotwell passed away on May 5th, 2020. At Rose Arbor in Kalamazoo, Michigan. She was born November 29th, 1956 to the late Thelma Shotwell and Clemmon McFadden. She graduated from Kalamazoo Central and attended Davenport University.
She was employed by General Motors until her early retirement due to medical reasons. In the early 1980s she discovered The Institute of Devine Metaphysical Research. Where she made many friends and met many loved ones who helped her through a very difficult time in her life.
She loved her family. Teresa was a distant social butterfly in her own way. She could out dress the best of us with a classy style of her own. Her beauty would light up the room even though she was humble and would never accept that she was radiant. She loved the highway. That was freedom to her. She would not have to be going anywhere, just needed to feel the open road. Playing cards and a good time was what she enjoyed. Barbeques, and family gatherings were important to her as well.
She is proceeded in death by step-father Fred Shotwell, 3 brothers, Earl Duane and William Howard Shotwell, Jimmie Henry, 1 sister Alverna (Glen) Williams, 2 uncles Ashley (Purnie) Craig, Robert (Lenora) Stewart. 1 brother in law Ira Fuller, 1 sister in law Lillie Shotwell. She leaves to mourn in her memory daughter Shi-Ne' Bean (Reymundo) and grandkids Aryanna Miller, Nico Longoria along with significant other Major Ligon. Brothers Steve (Han), Michael, Kenny (Naomi), Michael (Deno) Shotwell, George Henry Sr., Percy Henry. Sisters Marie Lewis, Evelyn (Lawan) Babura, Lenora (Roney) Williams, Wanda Fuller, Donna Henry-Hoskins. Special Sisters Rosemary Johnson, Lorraine Williams, Patrica Kelly, Anita Warfield, and Special daughter Rontoya Williams. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins and adopted loved ones she forever claimed and loved.
