Obituary of Jamarea Donte Pearson

Jamare Pearson, born on August 11, 1995 in Kalamazoo, Michigan, died unexpectedly on May 6, 2020 in Grand Rapids, Michigan at the age of 24.  He was preceded in death by his mother Donna Johnson and grandfathers George Johnson Jr, Raymond Anderson, and grandmother Mary Lee Pearson. He leaves behind grandmother Ernestine Shipman, father Raymond Pearson, brothers Mario (Brittney) Dawson, JeVonte Hughes, and Kayveon Pearson, sisters; Avanti Lacey, ReNaysha Pearson, and Totyana Troutman; his ¨boys¨ (nephews) Aydin and Avery Dawson and niece Ny’Asiah Hughes and a host of cousins, aunts, uncles, other relatives, and friends who will cherish their fond memories of him. A visitation will be held from 11:00 am - 2:00 pm on Thursday, May 14, 2020 at Whitley Memorial Funeral Home - 330 N. Westnedge Ave. Kalamazoo, Michigan. A private interment will be at Evergreen Memorial Park in Hobart, Indiana on Saturday, May 16, 2020 at noon.   As a way to honor Jamare´s memory, we must remember to keep fighting every day no matter how hard it gets and don’t forget your smile! We must never give up! EXECUTIVE ORDER from the Michigan Funeral Directors Association recommends limiting all funeral events to TEN 10 people or less in a single indoor shared space.
