Obituary of Gregory Elmer Sutton

With deepest sorrow, we announce that Gregory E. Sutton, age 53, our most beloved husband, son, brother, nephew, uncle and friend passed away on Tuesday, April 21, 2020. Those who knew Greg, even if only for a brief time, lost a shining light in their lives. Born Feb. 4, 1967, Greg graduated from Delton High School, class of ’85. He served his country in the United States Air Force, ’85-89, with an honorable discharge. With a passion for the outdoors, Greg spent much of his time fishing, hunting and boating. He was a member of the NRA. As an athlete, Greg spent many years playing softball. When it was time to slow down Greg chose bowling and golf. As a huge Michigan Wolverines fan Greg was often interacting with recruits and college athletes through online forums. He would continue those chats face to face during tailgate events with other fans. Rarely was Greg seen not wearing Wolverines gear. Greg will be missed every day by his wife, Nichole Allen, mother Sharon (Charles), brother Chuck (Laura), sister Julie (Jeff), niece Erin (Jushade), nephew Matt (Karen), nephew Andrew (Kendra), niece Megan (Tori), many great nieces and nephews, his loving aunts, uncles, cousins and many, many great friends. Greg is preceded in death by his father, Charles Sutton, and his nephew, Josh Grimes. We know Greg is now with his father and nephew, who were very much loved here on earth as well as in heaven. Greg leaves behind a legacy as a gentle giant with warm hugs, firm handshakes and a huge smile for everyone he would greet. We LOVE and MISS you so very much, Greg. Rest in peace until we meet again.
