Gatherings of 50 people or more are now banned in the State of Michigan to limit the spread of coronavirus as ordered by Gov. Gretchen Whitmer. EXECUTIVE ORDER No. 2020-11 Temporary prohibition on large assemblages and events, Rescission of Executive Order 2020-5 Acting under the Michigan Constitution of 1963 and Michigan law: Beginning on March 17, 2020 at 9:00 am, and continuing through April 5, 2020 at 5:00 pm, all assemblages of more than 50 people in a single indoor shared space and all events of more than 50 people are prohibited in the state of Michigan. Any single indoor shared space includes but is not limited to a room, hall, cafeteria, auditorium, theater, or gallery. This complies with recent CDC guidelines. Consistent with MCL 10.33 and MCL 30.405(3), a willful violation of this order shall constitute a misdemeanor. In conjunction with executive order Whitley Memorial Funeral will only permitted 50 persons (including children and teenagers) into its facility for any business transactions, memorial service or funeral service.
