Obituary of William "Billy" Lumbard, Jr.

William Lumbard Jr (Bill) was the youngest of 3 children born to William and Laura Lumbard. He was born in Meriden, Connecticut on November 4, 1965. Shortly after, the family moved to Kalamazoo, MI where he attended school. At a young age Bill became an avid repairman of all types of machinery. Bill began employment in September 1999 at Pfizer where he remained employed until his demise. He really enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing/ boating and camping, riding his motorcycle, listening to comedy acts and playing his saxophone and attending church at his beloved place of worship, Faith Temple Church of God. On October 9, 2004 he married the love of his life Sandra Lumbard. Bill was diagnosed with terminal cancer on December 17, 2018. He fought a difficult and long fight at home with his family and friends. God called him home on February 15, 2020. He will he missed dearly by all. Bill was proceeded in death by his parents, William and Laura Lumbard. He left behind his loving wife; Sandra Lumbard, his children Charles (Philameena) Reed, Floyd Reed, Jalisa Lumbard, Markisha Lumbard and Tyra Lee. 2 grandchildren; Trayvon McDaniel Leak and Mahogany Reed. 2 siblings; Regina (Douglas) Griswold and Donald (Daniella) Lumbard. 3 of his closest cousins; Kevin Hopkins, Pam Hopkins and Julius Mitchell and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. He was a humble, kind, loving, peaceful man that did his best to provide a good life for his family and help anyone he could.
