Obituary of Bernita Louise Harrington

Bernita L. Harrington age 61, was granted her angel wings on Tuesday, January 21, 2020, peacefully in her home. She was born in Chicago, IL on June 10, 1958, to Barbara Jean and Louise Green. Bernita reconfirmed her love and the desire for Christ to be her Lord and Savior in 2018 during an intimate conversation with her niece, Michelamone, as they prayed together. She would often be found sharing the love of Christ in posts on social media to uplift those that knew her. Her love for music, reading, and painting helped fill her days with joy when she wasn’t spending time with her family and friends. Bernita had many names…Daughter, Sister, Auntie, Nita, Mommy, Grandmother, Cousin, Friend, and Wife because she touched so many lives in the 61 years that she was blessed to be with us. No matter how you knew her, her love is deeply rooted in your hearts and the memories of her will always be there to comfort you. She was preceded in death by her father Louise Green, mother Barbara Jean Barnette, sister Barbara Jean Cashaw, and brother Louise Green, Jr. She is survived by her four children: Ronrico Berry, Ronnell Harrington (Venus), Robert Harrington (Clara), and Reva Harrington (William). Her sisters: Gail Hollingsworth (Mark), Anne Moore, and April Moss; her brother Eric Green, her sister-cousin April Mosley and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins, whom she loved deeply.
