Obituary of Diontay Tyreece Charleston
Diontay Tyreese Charleston (Teddy) departed this life on Sunday, November 17, 2019. He was born on October 30, 1990, in Kalamazoo, MI to Rachelle Charleston and Dena Gladney.
Diontay attended Mt. Zion Baptist Church where he was baptized on July 4, 1998. Diontay was mentored by Enoch Acker who is a Decon at Mt. Zion, Enoch played a positive role in Diontay life.
He joined the Job Corp at the age of 16 where he obtained certificates in Culinary and Carpentry. Diontay had a passion for music and in his spare time, he enjoyed making beats and freestyling. He also enjoyed art and as a young child, he won a contest where his drawing was exhibited at the Kalamazoo Valley Museum. Diontay was very adventurous and loved to travel in which he would share his music and art with others. Most importantly Diontay had a loving heart and displayed compassion towards everyone he encountered.
He is preceded in death by his brother Micheal Robinson.
Left to cherish his memories are his parents Rachelle Charleston and Dena Gladney, one son Zane Mykel Comell of Grayland, Mi., brother Corey Charleston and twin sisters Tynisha Page and Tyshelle (Justin) Whitley all of Kalamazoo, Mi, and 9 other half siblings. Also left to cherish his memories are his maternal and paternal grandparents, with a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends
