Obituary of Gregory Lynn Dunigan AKA "Squirrel"

Mr. Gregory Lynn Dunigan, AKA Squirrel, passed away on October 8, 2019 at Bronson Methodist Hospital, after a lengthy illness. Gregory was born one of a twin on May 28, 1954, to Janice(Poochie) Dunigan and Earl  Ezell. Gregory graduated from Central High School in 1972. After graduating from high school he worked at Checkers Motors and Western Michigan University. Gregory had many odd jobs in the community, he became a well known carpenter and drywall was his specialty. Gregory was a very serious man, he could look you straight in the eyes and you knew he meant business. Gregory loved entertaining his family and friends, with his grilling, frying fish and chicken. He was also known for his famous smothered potatoes.

Gregory was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Mabel Partlow and Samuel Ezell. His maternal grandparents, George and Charlotte Dunigan. His parents, Janice (Poochie) and Earl Ezell. His twin brother Gary Dunigan Sr., his brother Warren Ezell Sr. and nephew Ronnie Dunigan.

Gregory leaves to cherish his memories: two brothers, Bryon Ezell, and Stanley(Sherry) Ezell. Three sisters Jacqueline Ezell, Jennifer Ezell, and Janice(James) Jones all of Kalamazoo, Michigan. His uncle Rev. George Dunigan Jr. of Flint, Michigan. His aunts Maudine Coleman and Magnolia Bodley of Kalamazoo Michigan. Gregory's special companion Betty Hudson. Cousins he had a special bond with Archie Julian and Charles Julian Jr., John Buchanan which he worked very closely and admired deeply, and Deacon Jerry Buchanan. Also two life long friends Peter Usher and Ernest Whitfield.

A host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
