Obituary of Francis Cowley

Francis “Hot Rod” Cowley known as Jarrod was called to his creator on Friday, September 6, 2019, he is survived by his parents Dorothy Foster, Thomas L Cowley, & Gerald Jones.

Francis was never a religious person rather more spiritual, he definitely believed what put out in the world you get back. He confessed so much pain in his life that he dealt with the best he could. His favorite saying was “It is what it is!” Thirty Seven years is not enough time with someone that had the biggest smile and heart to go with it. All 8 children Francis J.M Cowley, Kendeja Cowley, Gerald J. Cowley, Elaija P Cowley, Jalysa J. Cowley, Marquan D. Cowley, Marsae Cowley, Ja Shiir Cowley and several other children that he helped raise. They all loved him dearly.

One of Jarrods life long passion was cooking over the years he held several positions as a chef. But his true pleasure was to make the people he loved happy with a delicious meal. Very creative and artistic in every way he was very much so a people person. Even with no formal training he was the best at whatever he did.

Francis was preceded in death by Grandparents Sarah Foster, Alberta Jones, O L Foster, and Jesse Jones. His oldest brother David Haywood Foster, Aunt Jessie Foster, & very special cousin Adrian L Jackson. 

Francis is survived by his wife Yolanda G. Cowley; his children: Francis J. Cowley the second, Kendeja C. Cowley, Gerald J. Cowley, Elijah P. Cowley, Jalysa J. Cowley, Marqwon D. Cowley, Marsae S. Cowley, Ja Shiir R. Cowley, and granddaughter Summer S. Cowley; his siblings: David N. Haywood III, Rico R. Haywood, Thomas L. Cowley, Topaz Cowley, Larosa Cowley and a host of cousins, nieces and nephews.
