Jimmy Renee Cruz, Sr.

With heavy hearts we honor and remember Jimmy Renee Cruz, Sr., the youngest brother of the Cruz Family of Kalamazoo Michigan. On September 14, 2019. Jimmy left us to join his mother Carmen Pratt-Cruz, his father Gabino Cruz, sister Maria Cruz and brother Ricky Cruz. 

Jimmy is survived by his son Jimmy Cruz Jr, of Kalamazoo, MI, daughter Jimmisha Moss of Ft. Worth, Texas, brothers Mario (Rita) Cruz and David Cruz, sisters Lucy Jackson, Cindy Cruz, Sheila (Mark) Woodson and Carmelita Cruz, his grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family and many friends.

We celebrate Jimmy's life and his love and remember his strong spirit, his contagious laugh, his pride and his deep love for his family. Jimmy walked tall with his head up and chest out and looked you in the eye when he spoke. He cared about people and didn’t looked down on anyone, he had a heart of gold and helped many around him in their times of need.  His mom was his heart and his family was extremely important to him. He made all those he loved feel like he was their protector. We treasure the loving memories he left with us and remember the good things. Only God knows a man's heart and his struggle. Jimmy, may God bring you close to him now and give you peace and may you rest forever in his Love.
