Obituary of Patricia Ellen Cobb

Pat went home to her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on August 11, 2019. She was 90. She was preceded in death by her parents Beryl and Grace (Talbot) Marker and her two brothers Wayne and David. Pat was born November 6, 1928. Pat attended Kalamazoo Central High School on S.Westnedge. She was married October 1, 1947 to the love of her life Orv. They had enjoyed over 71 years of marriage together. Pat was a stay at home Mom until the children got older. She worked evenings at Sears, then at Dykema Office Supply, and then worked for Borgess Hospital in the General Accounting Dept. She retired from Borgess in 1988 after 20 years of employment. Pat loved playing golf, fishing, and loved traveling with her husband Orv seeing the country and visiting their children, grandchildren, and friends.  She is survived by her husband Orv, and four children, Sharon (Jim) Gore of Morrison, Co, Beth (John) Simmons of Alto, Mi, Lynn (Greg) Roth of Kalamazoo, Mi, and Wayne Cobb of Vicksburg, Mi. She was blessed with 7 grandchildren and with 11 great grand children. A memorial service will be held on Monday August 26, 2019, at Oakland Drive Christian Church 7331 Oakland Dr., Portage, Mi 49024 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Jordan Kellicut & Pastor Gwen Steenhoven officiating. Friends may visit with the family from 10am until 11am at the church followed by the memorial service. In lieu of flowers please make any memorial contributions to Oakland Drive Christian Church. Pat lived her life to the full and enjoyed her family and friends. We praise the Lord that she is now home with Jesus, to live eternally in His kingdom!
