Obituary of Erline Madden
Erline Madden, daughter of the late John Madden and Lila Mae Madden. She was born on February 9, 1945, in Alabama and passed away on July 24, 2019, at Bronson Memorial Hospital.
Erline had a personal private relationship with God. She did not belong to a church, but she liked to visit Galilee Baptist Church. She was a bartender at the American Legion Post #134 for many years. She was a full-time mom and the best cook this side of the Mississippi. Erline was an avid bowler which allowed her to travel many states winning championships with her league. She was a no-nonsense kind of woman, she said what she meant and meant what she said. She enjoyed classic black and white movies, cooking shows, home remodeling shows, and she loved her crossword puzzles.
Her beautiful life will forever be cherished in the lives of her children: Cleon Madden (deceased), of Lepanto Arkansas, Barbara Butler and Husband Travis Thomas, Fred Butler and Wife Anita Butler and Daughter Elizabeth Cullom (Butler) of Kalamazoo; Rodney Butler and Wife Aurelia Butler of Savannah Georgia; Grandchildren: Tiyesha Chatman, Antionette Butler, James Butler, Travis Thomas (Tee), Amber Butler, Darail Butler, Yashica Butler, Patrick Butler, Johnathon Butler, Jerome Butler, Rodney D. Butler and Octavia Thomas (Tae); and her special friends Barbara Jackson and the Jackson Family, JoAnn Owens, The Lipsey Family and LouBertha Pearson.
Erline was preceded in death by her son: Cleon Madden; parents: John and Lila Madden; her twin sister, Aline Madden (Van) and nine brothers and 1 sister. She leaves her siblings: Elizabeth Madden of Leparto, Arkansas (Sister) and James Madden and Jerry Madden of Elgin, IL (Brothers).
