Obituary of Steven Paul Wolownik

On Friday July 19, 2019, Steven Wolownik loving father, papa, and friend, passed away at home at the age of 64.

Steve was born August 12, 1954 in VanBuren, MI. to Andrew and Mary Wolownik.

Steve had a passion and knowledge for cars and racing. Working for Auto Zone for the last 15 years, he enjoyed meeting and helping people. His fondest memories were his Chevelle, racing at the Kalamazoo speedway with his big brother when they were younger, going to the races with his daughter, and fishing with his son. He was a avid collector of Dale Earnhardt and antiques. He was a kind, passionate,  loyal and strong man, who would help anyone in need and loved his family.

Steve was preceded in death by his father Andrew Wolownik, mother Mary Wolownik, Sister Sharron Bastin, and partner in life Victoria Peekstok. He is survived by his children Courtney (Theo) Glover, and Christopher (Leanne) Liford, grandchildren Riley Ballinger, Tigen Glover, and Landon Liford, brother Larry (Wendy) Stroupe, sister Kay Bilby and several nephews and nieces.

Funeral services will be held August 10, 2019 at the Whitley memorial funeral home on the corner of Westnedge and Kalamazoo Ave. in Kalamazoo at 11 am. 

Birthday memorial celebration lunch will be held right after at Schrier Park 850 West Osterhout Road, Portage, MI 49002. at the clubhouse.
