Obituary of Latifa Shade Catina LaFarro Carson
Departed this life on Tuesday, July 16, 2019. She was born on February 13, 1990 to her mother Tasha Darious Burton, her father Donzel Carson-Johnson and the father figure in her life, Lee Fisher.
Latifa graduated from South Hill Academy in Battle Creek. After graduating she entered into the workforce where she worked at CitiTrends and fast food restaurants. Latifa loved to braid hair, cooking, shopping, listening to music and being with her family at family gatherings.
Latifa is survived by her sister Fredrica Brewer of Lansing, Mi., Leainya Fisher of Battle Creek, MI., brothers Kevin Holmes of Battle Creek, MI., Domonique Nichols, Yule Gothard of Battle Creek, MI., and a special aunt Sylvia Maupins "Fish". Latifa's children: Steven, Adonis, and Allen; her daughters: Princess Kayonna, Tasha Lynn Griffin, Kevin Griffin, Karla, Kelvette Griffin; her grandmother "Fab" Farby Burton of Battle Creek, MI.; her special nieces: Kameil, Kamelah and D; .along with a host of family, friends and cousins.
Latifa will be loved and missed by all especially her children and special friend Kevin Griffin of Benton Harbor, MI.
