Obituary of Gary Lyle Peake

Gary L. Peake passed away on June 21, 2019. He was born July 26, 1945 in Grayling, Michigan but spent his formative years in Hulbert, Michigan. He is survived by his daughter; Sara Decker, two granddaughters; Adelle and Mira Decker; One sister Mildred Peake.

Gary had an insatiable quest for knowledge, and the desire to continually learn and grow. This desire lead him to study many subjects while attending WMU. He was a longtime member of the Kalamazoo Rod and Gun Club and the Southern Michigan Gun Club; in Bullseye Pistol competition he achieved the level of  Master Shooter. Gary was a joyful and thoughtful person who loved his daughter and granddaughter’s. He was active in drug and alcohol abstinence programs, and worked for the Girls and Boys Club. He was a philosophical thinker, a friend to many, and someone who helped wherever he could.
