Obituary of JoAnne Wheeler

Joann (Kendrick, Winans) Wheeler, age 76, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on May 8, 2019.  Joann was the daughter of James and Marjory (Thorne) Kendrick.  She was born and spent her early years in Battle Creek before moving to the Hickory Corners area, attending Kellogg schools.  As a youngster, Joann, loved riding her bicycle, and swimming in Gull Lake where she became an accomplished on water skis.

Joann is survived by her best friend of 42 years, her husband Ron. She is survived by her three children, Ron, Cyndi and Chris and their spouses, And 11 grandchildren. She loved her husband's children and grandchildren as her own, as well as many other children she encountered. she is also survived by her brothers Jim (Diana Eva) and John (Peggy) Kendrick. 

She and Ron exhibited the gift of hospitality providing many nights of lodging and meals to those in need. and several great-grandchildren.

Joann had a joyful spirit and loved to laugh. She credits her joy in life to Jesus, and her church family at Word for Life. 

Joann and her family wish to especially thank Pastor Jeff and Mindy McNally for their faithful love and care of such a dear child of God.
