Obituary of Brenda Lee Morris

Mrs. Brenda Lee Morris a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, daughter, aunt, cousin, and friend.  She entered into eternal rest on March 22, 2019, at Rose Arbor Hospice of Kalamazoo after a long illness surrounded by family and friends.  Brenda was born in Holly Bluff Mississippi to Lee Joseph Smith and Clara Smith on July 4, 1964.  She graduated from Corner Stone University.  She worked as a substitute teacher for the Kalamazoo Public School System.  

Brenda professed her faith in Christ and was a member of Word Harvest Ministries where she served as the youth director and the mother of the church.   

Brenda was a woman of God and will be most remembered for a generous and giving heart.  She planted positive seeds into everyone she met.  She enjoyed gatherings with family and friends, especially at the lake.   

Brenda is survived by her husband, Willie L. Morris, her children:  Eric Benard, Christina Benard, Lee Smith (Lydia) and Brendan Smith all of Kalamazoo; her stepchildren: Willie Morris Jr, Cynthia Morris, and Earl Morris all of Saginaw, MI. Eani Bradshaw of Lexington, Kentucky; 26 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild; her father Lee Joseph Smith (Patricia) and mother Clara Smith both of Kalamazoo, MI; her sister Pamela Tate of Kalamazoo, MI; her father and mother-in-law Herbert and Eva Morris Sr.; along with a host of aunts, cousins and special friends.    

Although Brenda has departed from this life, her life and legacy will live on through all who knew and loved her.
