To the LaGrand family, your mother was a pure gem, I worked with her for 9 years at the Miller Stone Building in Adult Education. She always encouraged me with her words of wisdom, which always were driven by Godly principal! We would often grab hands and pray right in the classroom, hall, or break room! She is a true woman of God! I always told her, “I want to be just like you when I grow up!” What a great legacy she has left, her living shall not be in vain! Rest on mother, your reward is waiting in heaven! Family, my prayers are with you, Love one another, and follow in her footsteps! Jennifer and Allison

Mrs. LaGrand is truly a wonderful Woman and Teacher !!! She taught at Post School where all my kids went and the ones that were in her class LOVED her !! She taught my youngest Michael and they developed a special bond. When he was KIA in Iraq 7/17/06 Mrs LaGrand came to his Memorial at Maranatha Church and got up and recited a poem she had written about him !! It is framed an displayed in my home for all to see. I will never forget this sweet, kind and wonderful Lady. She will definitely be missed. My deepest sympathy to the Family.

My deepest condolences to the entire LaGrand family. Fom the 1st time I met her at Unity Baptist, her peaceful spirit and her desire to work for the kingdom instantly made me feel the spirit of the Lord that dwelt in her. Rest assured she has received her wings and has taken up residence in her new mansion up on high. No more pain, no more suffering. Praise God because you know undoubtedly tha to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord, and she is definitely present with our Lod. Keeping you all in my thoughts and prayers. Sincerely, Satanya

Nina Mae: Is a term of endearment that resonates with many youth growing up in the Washington Heights District in Battle Creek, MI. New words must be created to fully explain how astute, loving, blessed, beautiful, gifted and spiritual this woman was! When you peruse through Gods dictionary and come across those aforementioned words, her photograph will appear! You will truly be missed!
Thank you for leaving your mark during your 85 year hyphen of life! You will forever be remembered, cherished and loved by all who made your acquaintance! God bless your soul and your family during this difficult time of bereavement!
Love, T. Ross
