Obituary of James Scott Kooi

Jim Kooi went to be with his Savior and Lord on Dec. 11, 2018.  Jim was born on November 30, 1940.  He graduated from Kalamazoo Central  in 1958.  He leaves those to grieve his passing his sisters, Marcia (Rich) Groenheide of Kalamazoo and Pat Sullivan of Berkeley, California, his Aunt Betty Blum,  three nephews, Dan, Stan (Teresia) , and Doug Groenheide, two nieces, Aileen Johnson and Shauna (Ed) Gould, several cousins and  special friends, Don McClain and Judy DeBoer.  His parents, Betty (Blum) and Henry Kooi preceded him in death. 

A memorial service will be held on Friday, at 11 o'clock with visitation starting at 10 at Second Reformed Church, 2323 Stadium Drive, Kalamazoo, MI 49008.  Donations may be given to the Kalamazoo Gospel Mission or Ministry with Community or charity of your choice.
