Obituary of Paul Lavern Ives

Paul Lavern Ives, of Battle Creek MI, passed away unexpectedly at home on December 2, 2018.  A Memorial services will be held at Whitley Memorial Funeral Home, 330 N Westnedge Ave, Kalamazoo MI. 49007.  On Monday December 10, from 11 to noon for immediate family, and noon-2 for friends. Services is at 1.

Paul was borned  on May 23, 1966 in Battle Creek Mi, to Joseph Lavern Ives and Linda Potter (Ives).  Paul loved working with his hands in carpentry he even lost half a finger doing it, he loved being a handy man, fixing anything.  Paul loved watching football he loved the bears, and the lions. Paul was very out spoken he love to tell it like it was, no sugar coating anything. But that’s what we loved about him honestly is the best policy.

Paul is survived by two sons and a stepson, Joseph P. Ives and his wife Charlotte Ives, and there three children, Michael Ives and his fiancé Megan Blankenship, and there 2 sons. Joshua Allen Fortner a stepson who is unable to be here.

Paul had also had two beautiful daughter who he loved dearly, Lynda Ives, and Mecala Ives who was the closest to him.

Paul had many brothers and sisters and nieces and nephews, Aneisa Ives and her 3 sons and one daughter, Missy Everet her two sons and one daughter and her husband Kenith who passed away. Donald Ives and his two daughters, Kevin Ives and his 3 daughter.

Paul was preceded in death by his life partner who he loved with his whole heart and soul Brenda Jets, his brother Joseph Ives ( lil Joe) and his grandmother Emma Vandee.
