Bobbie Davis

Obituary of Bobbie Jean Davis

Bobbie Jean Davis peacefully went home to be with the Lord on November 26, 2018. She was surrounded by her daughter and granddaughters. Bobbie was born on January 10, 1958 in Marvell, Arkansas to Charline Snell and Walter L. Davis. She had three brothers and one sister.

Bobbie was a woman of God who loved attending church and singing spiritual hymns. She was immersed in the Christian community at an early age and was an active member of From The Bible Church.

Bobbie worked for the city of Kalamazoo and later worked as a security guard for a local pharmaceutical company for a number of years. In her leisure, she enjoyed traveling, cooking, listening to gospel music, roller skating, and spending time with her family.

Known for her ease in frequent conversation, even with total strangers, she was a joy to be around. She possessed a contagious smile and a great sense of humor that could light up a room. She would never say no to a great conversation and a good cup of coffee. Her compassionate spirit and loving heart will truly be missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charline Snell and Walter L. Davis.

Bobbie will be remembered for her strength, determination, and unwavering faith in God. She leaves to cherish her memory: one daughter, Angela (Herb) Sykes; three brothers, Larry Davis, Clarence (Carol) Davis, Walter (Connie) Davis; one sister, Cynthia (Rick) Powell; three granddaughters, Arneisha McDermott, Khalidha Davis, Aquariah Sykes; two uncles, Otis and Ernest Sanders, dear friend, Teresa Hughes; several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
