Jeffrey L. Pletcher (63) of Battle Creek MI., formerly of Elkhart, passed away from natural causes Thursday, Feb. 15, 2018, after receiving compassionate care from the staff at Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo Mi.

Jeff was born on December 05, 1954, to parents Virgil and Dorothy (Nelson) Pletcher who preceded him in death. Survivors include a stepmother, Kathryn Pletcher, his brother Stephen (Laura) Pletcher of Bristol, a sister Kim (Mike) Yoder of Middlebury, along with nieces Nikki Cashbaugh and Staci (Brett) Budreau; nephews Andrew (Tish) Pletcher and Brett Yoder; along with three great-nieces and two great-nephews.

Jeff graduated from Concord High School in 1973 and Indiana State University with a degree in Music Education.   After graduation, he was a member of a Drum Core that competed and traveled throughout the United States. Jeff also taught music in several high schools throughout northern Indiana until starting his own computer software consulting company.

Jeff continued his passion for music throughout his life.  His two dogs, Stanley and Sadie, were his constant companion’s accompanying him where ever he went. 

According to his wishes, cremation will take place, with a private family celebration of life to be held at a later date.  At this time the family wishes those that knew Jeff to take a moment to remember Jeff and reflect upon the memories of good times or moments during his life.
