Obituary of Samuel David Boyd Jr.

Samuel David Boyd, Jr. departed this life on Wednesday, September 6, 2017 at the age of 46 at Bronson Hospital in Kalamazoo, MI. He was born on March 25, 1971, in Battle Creek, MI to the parents of Samuel David Sanders Sr. and Dora Lee Sanders. He attended Battle Creek Central High School.  Samuel worked as a Janitor at the Washington School in 2006. Samuel was affectionately known to many as “Main”, “Team”, and “The General”. He was a beloved son and brother to his family. Samuel enjoyed listening to music and loved horses because of their big eyes. He left us with wonderful memories and a bond, with each life that he touched. Samuel leaves to forever cherish his memory his sisters: Ruth Ann (Lee) Barnes, Betty Boyd, Machelle Boyd, and Denise Boyd; his brothers: Dionder Sanders, Shawndell Sanders, Antonio Mareese Sanders and Eddie Wagoner all of Battle Creek, MI; 11 aunts, 2 uncles, 31 nieces and nephews, the love of his life Monica Brown, along with a host of cousins. He is preceded in death by his grandparents Albert Boyd and Dora Boyd.  Although Samuel has departed from this life, he will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
