Sister Liggins for us will surely be remembered for her strong faith and her faithful life course. Looking forward to Jehovah’s promised new world and welcoming her back to make new memories and living in a world where death will be no more.

In Memory of my oldest sister, Mattie Lou Liggins:
God saw you getting tired,
and a cure was not to be.
So, He put His arms around you,
And whispered, "COME TO ME"!

Oh dearest Mattie. We were so saddened to hear that you had passed. What a kind and encouraging lady you were! Such a fine example of faithful service for so many years, being a Christian wife and mother, raising up children to serve God. You showed that it was the best way of life. Your many friends will miss you until we all reunite in perfect peace and health. Much love to your family. Keith and Lavona VanFulpen

So much sadness; yet, contrary to that is peace. I'm questioning how these conflicting emotions can co-exist. For now, I'm attributing it to the relationship I had with my big sister; we didn't always agree on some subjects, but we always managed to continue our love and respect for each other (even when she tried to "boss me around "). She was fun, loving, informative, uplifting, faithful to her convictions, and did I mention sometimes bossy? I love my sister and will miss her dearly.
Only by Grace, I have peace.
For those who knew and loved her, be well.
