Obituary of Mattie Louise Morgan

Mattie Louise Morgan was born September 20, 1948, in Albion Michigan to Mozella Thomas and Roosevelt Neely. Later moved to Battle Creek Michigan where she attended battle creek public schools and graduated from Battle Creek Central. Mattie was best known for spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved playing dominoes, cooking, dancing and enjoyed being with her family and friends. Mattie departed this life on Friday, September 24th, 2021 at Bronson Of Battle Creek Hospital. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mozella Thomas and Roosevelt Neely. Brothers; James Thomas, William “Charles” Mohead, Victor L. Mohead, and Robert Lee Mohead Sr. and Norman Mohead; Sister; Audrey Jones, Geneva Mohead. Granddaughter; Charmica Neely, Grandson Dejour Neely. She leaves to cherish her daughter; Teresa (Alfred) Graham of Battle Creek, Son; Vincent Neely of Battle Creek. Brother; Leon (Julia) Mohead of Albion. Sister; Margie Irby of Battle Creek. Granddaughters; Akeisha Brooks of Georgia, Jerrica Richardson of Jackson, Alexis Neely of Battle Creek, and Amaya Neely of Battle Creek. Grandson’s; Vincent (Nastaya) Neely, Davion Neely, Damarion Jermerson; and 15 great grand and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and close friends. Special Friends; Winnie West, Sally Bolden, Ingrid Scott, Janet Stein. Although Mattie has departed from this life she will always be missed, she was always the life of the party and had a good heart. We love you and will always miss you “Mattie Moo Moo” May your faith bring you peace and fill the empty place in your heart, knowing that there is one more angel in heaven.
