Obituary of Elizabeth Kiler
Elizabeth Kiler Harris was born on October 15,1925 in Dublin Georgia to the late Frank and Carrie Thomas who both preceded her in death.
She met John Harris, the love of her life at the Detroit Metro Airport while she worked as a cook at the Marriott Host while John worked at Hertz rental car
John and Elizabeth began their lives in Metro Detroit staying devoted to the love of her family, they decided to raise their Great Grand-daughter LaTosha Glenn as their own. Elizabeth enjoyed cooking for her family and traveling but her passion was gardening, (well known for her beautiful flower and vegetable gardens wherever she lived).Whenever she could, Elizabeth really enjoyed Bingo and card games with family and friends. She was a member of Galilee Baptist Church of Kalamazoo Michigan. Because of her loving nature, many people looked to her as “Granny”.
Preceded in death by husband John Harris, her daughter Deloise Mitchell and son Bobby Mitchell; her sisters and brothers: Jessie Mae Thomas, Nolan Thomas, Willie Thomas, Louise Thomas, Lucille Hall, Kate Thomas, Mattie White, James F. Thomas, and Ruby Scott. Alongside grandsons Kelvin Mitchell and Timothy Mitchell.
She leaves behind grandchildren Kathy, Denita Dianna, Marvin, Doletha, Wanda, Lanetta,Tracey and Shatora;alongside host of Great grandchildren, Great-great grandchildren, and Great-great-great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews, cousins, and other loving family members and friends.
