Obituary of Christopher Paul Barnhart
Christopher Paul Barnhart departed unexpectedly, but peacefully from this world August 15, 2021, around midday to reunite for eternity with his beloved wife Theresa, of nearly 30 years, after 18 months apart.
Chris was born May 19, 1964, in Kalamazoo the son of Edmund and Maxine Barnhart.
He is survived by a daughter Terri (Ronald Jr.). Three grandchildren, Ronnie, Jonathan, and Caleigh. Six siblings, Marsha, Ron, Pat (Mary), Eddie, Carla (Bob), Tim and many nieces and nephews as well great nieces and nephews. Last, but not least his cherished pets, Little Man and Suzie-Q. He will be deeply and sincerely missed by all who had the privilege to know him.
Chris was a lifelong resident of Kalamazoo, Mi and a well-known staple of multiple establishments in the area. He was an avid sports fan, including NASCAR racing which he attended yearly, and football, a particular enthusiast of the Michigan Wolverines. In addition to sports, he was a fervent fan of camping and cars. However, what Chris loved undoubtedly most was spending time with his family and friends, especially his grandchildren. He lived on this earth for 20,894 days, but not a single one passed where he did not have a positive impact on those surrounding him, including fellow Eagles brethren or customers he encountered during his extensive culinary career. Those who knew him will remember him warmly for a host of wonderful and memorable things including his humor, his cooking, his stubbornness, his vibrant personality, but especially his kindhearted and generous nature exhibited best in the many years he spent engaged in charitable endeavors through membered organizations.
Chris was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle who could always be counted on for stability in times of need and hardship. Though he is gone now, be not sad, for through him we have gained a guardian angel for the remainder of eternity in the Kingdom of Heaven. If he were to have any final words for us, they surely would be, "miss me, but let me go, for I am at peace."
