Obituary of Ida Mae Artis

Ida Mae Artis went home to be with the Lord onThursday, June 10, 2021, at Bronson Battle Creek Hospital. She was born on September 20, 1945, at the Community Hospital to her parents Joe and Veary Mae Artis. Ida left a positive everlasting impact on each one she crossed paths with. Ida Mae was raised in Battle Creek, MI, where she received her formal education and graduated from Battle Creek Central High School, she then went on to further her education in college. Ida had many jobs in the Battle Creek community before she became self-employed. She was well loved by many people because she helped anyone who she met. Ida Mae was a wonderful lady, mother, grandmother, and friend, and she will be greatly missed. Ida Mae is survived by her son Todd Artis, daughters: Zenetta Willis and Princess Rogan; brother Wilber Lee; her grandchildren: Dhwanna White, Dominic Artis, Dontay Artis, Robert Tidwell, Markela Porter, Amiya Jones, and Xavier Jones; 14 great grand kids, along with a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents Joe Artis and Veary Mae Chileve-Artis.
